Claudia Fernández Oropesa, de solo 33 años, emigró recientemente con la esperanza de comenzar una nueva vida. Hoy enfrenta uno de los momentos más difíciles de su vida: fue diagnosticada con agresivo cáncer escamoso de pulmón en etapa 4, con metástasis en otras partes de su cuerpo. Su salud es extremadamente delicada; ha perdido mucha fuerza física y necesita apoyo emocional constante. Claudia está prácticamente sola en este país. Solo cuenta con su hermana, quien es su único sostén, pero que debe trabajar para poder cubrir todos los gastos del hogar, de la alimentación, medicamentos, citas médicas y cuidados. La situación es devastadora: Claudia tiene entre 1 y 2 ingresos hospitalarios cada mes debido a complicaciones de su enfermedad. Estas hospitalizaciones frecuentes no solo afectan profundamente su salud y su estabilidad emocional, sino que también la imposibilitan para trabajar o realizar cualquier actividad cotidiana. Su calidad de vida se ha deteriorado enormemente. En medio de esta lucha, Claudia tuvo que someterse recientemente a dos cirugías con el objetivo de aliviar síntomas y mejorar su bienestar. Pero estos procedimientos, junto con los cuidados posteriores, han incrementado aún más la carga física, emocional y económica. Estamos recurriendo a la solidaridad de todas las personas que la conocen y de quienes puedan aportar, incluso con la donación más pequeña. Cada ayuda cuenta y hace una diferencia inmensa. Además de los tratamientos convencionales, estamos intentando acceder a terapias alternativas y cuidados complementarios que podrían ofrecerle un poco más de calidad de vida, pero son extremadamente costosos. These frequent hospitalizations not only affect her physical health and emotional stability, but also make it impossible for her to work or carry out even basic daily activities. Her quality of life has deteriorated tremendously. In the midst of this battle, Claudia recently had to undergo two surgeries aimed at relieving symptoms and improving her well-being. However, these procedures—along with the necessary post-surgical care—have further increased the physical, emotional, and financial burden. We are reaching out to the generosity and compassion of everyone who knows her, and of anyone who may be able to help, even with the smallest donation.
