Hello. My name is Cladia Coto. I am a mother of 2 beautiful children. I have been a preschool teacher at Neighborhood Childcare Center for eight years. My father was also a preschool teacher at NCC, and I was lucky enough to follow in his footsteps. My children have also been lucky enough to attend NCC, where they received a fantastic start to their early education.

I am reaching out to our community because our family has had a sudden life-changing event. My husband was recently hospitalized with a very serious life-threatening illness. It has gotten so severe that he will be hospitalized for at least another month and will not be able to work for possibly up to a year. Right now, we know that he has a blood infection called Streptococcus A. After countless surgeries, we are learning that he will need full-time care when he returns home. This has left me to care for my family all on my own. It has really taken a toll on our family, especially because my 5-year old son, who has autism, requires full-time care, structure and routine. Without the help of my husband, I am left to reach out to my community of friends and family for support. No contribution is too small, and my family would greatly appreciate your support.
