Clarissa Covarrubias is my Tia, and she means the world to our family. She’s also a daughter, a sister, and a granddaughter. Last year, she was diagnosed with leukemia, and since then, her life has changed completely. She’s been bravely going to treatments and doctor’s visits, but the process has taken up almost all of her time and energy. Because of this, she had to quit her job and is not able to work right now. Even though she’s fighting hard against her cancer, you can see that she’s hurting both physically and mentally.
Clarissa is a very shy person, but once you get to know her, she’s funny, loving, and always knows how to make you feel better—even when she’s the one going through tough times. She’s always been a hard worker and kept working as long as she could, but now she needs to focus on her health. My family and I do our best to support her, but with our own bills and responsibilities, it’s not always enough.
We’re reaching out for help so Clarissa can cover her medical bills and daily expenses while she continues her fight. Any support, even just a dollar, would mean so much to her and to all of us. Thank you for reading her story and for considering helping our family during this difficult time.
