Support for Clairabell & family

Clairabell our vibrant 3 year old had open heart surgery Monday May 1' 17 at Toronto Sick kids Hospital. The surgery was a success. Her chest was left open to allow swelling to reduce so her heart could pump efficiently. They closed her chest on Friday May 5th, But her blood pressure then lowered significantly & they had to use sutures from chest suspend as an alternative to opening her chest again to allow the heart wall to heal & reduce swelling. They attempted to remove this procedure but had to suspend again. Her left arm is swollen due to a possible blood clot they are monitoring closely. They also discovered more defects (holes in her heart that will need to be repaired this visit or in the next 6 months. They had to open her chest back up to be hooked up to an ECMO machine (artificial heart & lungs) as the sutures were not working & her heart is not tightening and releasing. This family needs us more than ever right now. Anything you can spare would be a tremendous help. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts xo
