CJ is the grandchild of my coworker, and he recently developed a rare medical condition following a virus. This condition has left him unable to walk or perform basic needs on his own, and his family is facing an incredibly difficult time as they adjust to CJ’s new challenges. Only one of his parents is able to work right now because the other needs to be by CJ’s side, providing constant care and support.
