CJ Ferreira has always been a source of kindness and warmth to those around her, but she is now facing the most difficult challenge of her life. She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance, overwhelmed by pain, and was quickly sedated for her safety. While under sedation, doctors discovered a massive blood clot that had traveled from her leg to her lung. Emergency surgery saved her life, but more clots moved to her heart, causing it to stop three times. She was revived each time through CPR and electric shocks, and then placed on blood thinners that carried their own life-threatening risks. Against all odds, she survived, but her kidneys suffered severe damage, and she is now undergoing dialysis. The trauma of cardiac arrest has also led to congestive heart failure, and doctors have given her a prognosis of only six months to a year to live. With her business collapsing and her income gone, she is facing overwhelming medical bills and daily living expenses, all while fighting for her life.
