Charles "Chuck" Stefanou was a beloved member of the Westerly, Rhode Island community, known for his kindness, faith, and dedication to serving others. For many years, Chuck and his twin brother Nick ran the Seahorse pet shop, a local staple where countless families and animal lovers found not just pets, but friendship and support. Even after the shop closed due to Chuck’s illness, he continued to serve faithfully in his church and wherever he could be a witness for Jesus Christ.
After a courageous three-year battle with a chronic disease, Chuck’s earthly journey ended on December 23rd, 2025. His passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his wife Monique, his family, and all who knew him. Because of his illness and self-employment status, Chuck was unable to secure life insurance, leaving his family with the unexpected burden of funeral, committal, and cemetery expenses.
We are reaching out to friends, family, and the wider community to help honor Chuck’s memory and support Monique and the Stefanou family during this difficult time. Your gifts of love and appreciation mean so much, and we would love to hear your stories and memories of Chuck—whether from Seahorse pet shop or his work in the community across Rhode Island and Connecticut. Thank you for standing with us and helping to celebrate a life so well lived.
