Support for my sister, Christy Kay (Smiddy) Smith

My sister’s story: Diagnosed Stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma cancer. Chemo is necessary immediately for up to 6 months (she’s preparing to soon be ROCKIN' a bald head). Surgery to remove the tumor (mastectomy tbd) & lymph node removal. Then radiation to follow for 6 weeks. Estrogen blockers for 5-10 years. Asking for money is incredibly hard & a decision that is not taken lightly. We’re hanging pride on a hook & reaching out for help. It's one of those times that I believe merits the request. Allow me to share Christy’s vision; Once upon a time, seeds were spilling out of a wagon being pulled down a bumpy dirt road. There was a drought that season & the seeds weren't worth much (so they thought). Folks back then, carried their water to & fro in their skin sacks & pottery. Some had cracks, or rips or got wobbly & dripped. What they didn’t see were the seeds on the sides of the path. Some realized small amounts of water were leaking, some would focus on the imperfections. Some would live w/them & make do. Some would fix the cracks & strengthen the vessel. Some would see the overflow in the cracks & how it effects the trail it leaves. All would see the flowers that thrived & bloomed from the drips of water! Can we all be "imperfect" vessels, blessing others along our way? Her wish is to be able to focus on healing. Raising her 7 yr old son, Levi Zion & continually loving her birth daughter Jenna Faith. In her words, “JFaith is my dream come true! We're a hallmark kind of story. The 3 of us fit together. We're cut from the same cloth. I love our time together. I want more. I want to love so much! Outloud! Over the top ridiculous kind of love!” We want to help provide the freedom to live & love abundantly by minimizing the financial burden during this time. We’re asking our sphere to influence our reality by giving, to help steady our shaky ground. Our gratitude would never fade.
