Hi & Hello to old friends or new. My name is Christy Morris and I would like to share a bit with you if you’ll bear with me for a few words.
No one prepares you for motherhood or how hard it will be or can be. You hear about all the wonderful things about becoming a mother like hearing their cry for the first time, to when they sit up for the first time, to when they start to crawl, to when they start to walk or run, when they even start school, but what they don’t tell you or worn you about is the hard stuff. The hard things like the long sleepless nights, the first day of school, the day of school when they don’t cry at drop off, the heartbreaks your baby will encounter and to see the hurt you can’t stop, or what’s even worse is to see your baby deal with emotional difficulties!
As of last night, December 12, 2025, I lost my first born, my baby boy to suicide.
Please if you do anything today or in the future after reading this just hold your babies tighter, make more memories, give more “yes’s” then “no’s”, make more time together, take pictures, & most importantly express how important it is for your child to always talk about their feelings! One day you will realize you have spent years raising your child to become independent & to meet every milestone the Doctors say they need to only to realize that’s not the most important thing. Getting them grown & out of the house shouldn’t be the standard because one day you may wake up & realize your child can’t stand beside you anymore.
However, I’m now faced with the hardship of covering expenses associated with my babies funeral because no parent prepares for their baby to die first or at all really. We didn’t have life insurance or any savings to help cover expenses like this. With that said, don’t feel obligated to donate but if you can, we would greatly appreciate it even if it’s a couple cents to a couple dollars. More so, even if it’s just sharing this post it would be helpful to us.
Thank you,
One broken/shattered heart Momma
Christy Morris
