David Moore passed away suddenly on Monday, December 15, 2025, from an apparent heart attack. David and his wife, Christy, had only been married for two and a half years and, like so many in new marriages, had not yet discussed or prepared for such a devastating loss.
In the midst of this unimaginable grief and uncertainty, we would like to help Christy with the inevitable expenses that come with the passing of a loved one—costs that can quickly become overwhelming.
For those who didn’t know David, he was a constant presence in youth sports throughout Midlothian, Texas. He coached football, basketball, baseball, and softball, leaving a lasting impact on countless kids and their families. His influence extended far beyond the field.
On a personal level, David loved my best friend with his whole heart and was always the “fun dad.” He loved her daughter and my children as if they were his own. He was a constant fixture in the lives of his grandson(s), as to him, there was never any distinction of biology. He was an incredible friend to me and my husband—someone who could always make me laugh, who spoke honestly (even when it might offend), and who showed up without hesitation. This past year, when I was diagnosed with cancer, David was a constant source of support.
David was a friend to everyone—especially the town’s bartenders - and he is deeply missed by all who knew him.
Please consider helping ease the financial burden on Christy and her family as they navigate this painful loss and begin to find a way forward without this amazing man.
