Christina and her baby boy, Oliver, have faced an incredibly challenging journey over the past several months. After an emergency c-section, Oliver spent six weeks in the NICU, and both mother and son have battled multiple illnesses since coming home. Because of these medical challenges, Christina has been unable to return to work, and the family’s financial situation has become overwhelming.
With rent, utility bills, groceries, diapers, formula, and ongoing medical procedures, Christina and her family have maxed out all their credit cards and depleted both bank accounts. Recently, Christina underwent back surgery and is now facing the prospect of more surgeries in the future. The stress of mounting bills and uncertainty about the future has made this time even more difficult for them.
As Christina’s mother-in-law, I am reaching out on their behalf to ask for support from our community. The funds raised will help cover essential living expenses and medical costs while Christina recovers and cares for Oliver. The second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself—any help you can offer will be deeply appreciated and will make a real difference for this young family.
