My daughter Christina and her husband Tony received a devastating diagnosis for their unborn baby, Jesse. He was diagnosed with an extremely rare condition called Vein of Galen Malformation. This is a vein in his brain that is overflowing his heart with way too much blood, making his heart work much harder than it's supposed to, forcing the heart into heart failure. She is currently 31 weeks pregnant and we are monitoring his rate of heart failure to determine the safest time to deliver. He will need surgery after he is born to put a coil around the vein to help make it smaller. This is an extremely rare condition.

They will be traveling to Houston and possibly staying there until the baby is born. They may be sent to a specialist in Boston, MA for a cutting-edge clinical trial procedure. If so, that's where she will deliver. They have a very long and bumpy road ahead and could use all the prayers they can get.
