My wife has Huntington's disease, a terminal brain disease that is devastating for both the person diagnosed and everyone who loves them. As her condition has progressed, I have become her full-time caregiver. This means I can only work night shifts, but at 61 years old, finding a job has been nearly impossible. Our financial situation has become overwhelming—our bills are past due, our house is in foreclosure, we are facing significant credit card debt, and have very limited funds left in the bank. Every day is a struggle to keep up with basic needs while making sure my wife has the care and support she deserves.
We are asking for help to cover our daily living expenses until I can collect early social security in April. Your support will help us keep a roof over our heads, pay for food, utilities, and other essentials during this incredibly difficult time. Huntington's disease is a brutal hereditary illness with no cure, and it takes a toll on everyone involved. Any help you can give would mean the world to us and help us get through these next few months.
If you are unable to donate, please consider learning more about Huntington's disease. Watch The Huntington's Dance to educate yourself, and help spread the word about how terrible HD is. Thank you for your kindness, support, and for standing with us in this fight. PLEASE SHARE this post.
