Support for Chris Simmons
Chris Simmons, husband to our mother Elizabeth of 30 years and father to myself & my two brothers. If you know my dad, you know he’s the most active, loyal, loving, & hard working man you’ll ever meet.
Chris was recently hospitalized at Mountain View Hospital from October 5th to November 8th. He was admitted for the removal of a sudden hemorrhagic cyst attached to his left kidney that required surgery, but throughout his stay he suffered a domino effect of issues. He went into acute renal failure requiring dialysis, removal of the cyst, left kidney, & spleen, respiratory failure, an acute stroke, blood loss, and severe debility making simple every day tasks extremely difficult. Pathology reports also revealed his diagnosis of Renal Cell Carcinoma. We spent every moment of everyday by his side, advocating for him and praying for recovery.
Chris has now discharged home and is on the long journey to recovery, therapy, and is seeking second opinions at UCLA and MD Anderson.
Our family is asking for help and donations for current medical expenses, future medical expenses, and travel expenses. This would help our family so that we can focus on my dad and his health, and not worry about the financial burden brought on by this terrible turn of events. We thank you for your support.
