Chris, Savana, and their sweet 7-month-old son, Gio, have been facing an incredibly challenging time. Gio has been in and out of the hospital, and just as the family was trying to manage his care, Chris suffered a heart attack on January 20th and was rushed to the hospital. As Chris’s uncle, I’ve seen firsthand how hard they’ve worked to stay strong for each other and for Gio.

Chris is the sole provider for the family, and has used up all his paid time off while caring for Gio while he was in the hospital in the PICU and now recovering from his own heart attack. He won’t be able to return to work until January 26th, which means the family won’t have enough income to cover their bills next month. The stress of worrying about rent, utilities, groceries, and gas is weighing heavily on them during an already difficult time.

I love these three people with all my heart. Their little boy, Gio, is my bestest buddy, and I wanted to reach out and ask for a little help to get them over this hurdle so they can get back on their feet. Any support you can offer will make a world of difference for this family as they focus on healing and moving forward together.

UPDATE: The money raised so far has really been a blessing to this family, and has helped out tremendously, but they're not out of the woods yet... Thursday February 5th, Gio has to go down to Birmingham (Al) for another procedure, which will mean Chris again having to take time off to help care for his son
