Chris Martin was more than just a stepfather—he was a pillar of love, faith, and generosity in our family and community. Married to my mom for eight years, Chris gave everything he had to those around him. As a dedicated disciple of Jesus Christ, he spent nearly every waking hour serving the Lord and others, opening his home to strangers, feeding them, teaching them, and offering comfort. His kindness and spiritual strength touched countless lives, and he always put the good of the family first. Chris worked as a travel agent and loved exploring the world, but his greatest passion was helping others find hope and belonging.

Recently, Chris struggled with health issues, including low blood pressure, and was in and out of the hospital for the last couple of months. We were hopeful as he seemed to be on the mend and had returned home, but this past Saturday morning, my mom awoke to find Chris had passed away in his sleep. The suddenness of his loss has left our family heartbroken and facing unexpected financial burdens. The funds raised here will go directly toward covering his funeral expenses and helping my mom manage the lingering costs that have now fallen on her shoulders.
