Help Maureen Hannigan and Chris McCarthy

Chris McCarthy and Maureen Hannigan, both in their mid-late 60s, had been in health-related careers for many years, giving so much of themselves and caring for everyone around them. 

Over the past 15-20 years, they have both struggled with many physical and health challenges, including debilitating chronic illnesses, which have left them both unable to work. The financial stress of not being able to work, trying to find odd jobs to do while dealing with multiple health issues, having inadequate health insurance and needing to pay out of pocket for a lot of the care they need, has left them depleted...financially, mentally, and physically.

The current situation is their heater just went, so they were without heat in this recent cold snap. They were able to get it replaced by setting up a payment plan, but this is an extra expense with high interest...certainly not something they were expecting. This has caused even more stress and strain. Ideally, they would be able to pay this off fully, so they don't have this additional financial burden. The  cost of the heater is $6300. 

I felt compelled to set up this campaign to help these two women who have helped so many....who have given so much of themselves...and now they, themselves, are in need. I believe it's important to come together as a community and help those who have fallen on hard times, even more so in this season of giving.
