Our family was involved in a tragic accident in Longview, TX on June 27, 2026. An intoxicated driver crossed the median, went airborne, and smashed into their car while they were headed to dinner, which has drastically changed their lives at a time where everything was looking up for all of them.
My sister Chelsea remembers the entire accident. She will be forever traumatized by the loss of her husband Clayton, and all of our lives will never be the same because of it. Clayton had a positive gravitational pull like no one I’ve ever met. His fun loving spirit and laughter were a light for our family that can’t be replaced. My cousin Hallie lost her unborn baby who we had all hoped was the answer to their prayers, and her husband Kaleb is currently sedated with a severe head injury. They are recently married and were just starting to build their lives together. My nephew Bryce, who is going into his Junior year at West Rusk, lost his dad, who has always been his coach, mentor, and both Bryce and his older brother Ayden’s biggest fan. Bryce also injured his back and is worried it could derail his dream of becoming a professional golfer, a goal he has dedicated his life to.
There are countless others that weren’t involved in the accident who love them and whose lives will be affected as well. This is my best attempt at putting something into words that can’t be put into words. Please, if you feel compelled, any donation - no matter the amount - will make a meaningful difference in helping the family through this incredibly difficult time. The funds will be split evenly between Hallie and her husband Kaleb and Chelsea and her two sons.
