Hi guys,
This is not something I would usually do, but we've had a hell of a time recently.
Like most people these days, we live paycheck to paycheck. While we work extremely hard. Things are just expensive.
Our sweet Charlotte has been dealing with medical issues for the last couple years and they've come to a head recently. We've been seeing specialists over the last 6 months trying to solve this issue. Last Sunday she started throwing up and hadn't kept anything down so we thought GI bug and took her to her pediatrician on Monday. She did not get better and developed a fever. With her UTI issues we didn't want to mess around so we went to the ER on Tuesday, she was so dehydrated they couldn't get her an IV. But they sent her home with meds. My husband Charlie advocated for her so hard and got them to readmit her on Wednesday for hydration and then we drove her to UCSF to figure out what's going on. They are still working on figuring it out but down here with consistent hydration and medication she is able to keep some food down which is good because that's helping her feel better. They are considering a procedure that may help her but are still going through all the steps to try and figure out what's going on. During this Charlie has missed almost a week of work and we are have to on top of that pay for somewhere to stay and gas to get here and all of the things. While we're already running right at the edge, this is a big deal.
I'm usually one to always have a plan to figure something out but I'm without options so I'm reaching out, any help would be greatly appreciated!
