Charli is my eight-month-old granddaughter, and our family is going through an incredibly difficult time. Charli had an unexpected decline prior to being admitted on April 20th, and we have faced so many ups and downs. To make things even more challenging, her father was recently involved in a motorcycle accident. Thankfully, he is now able to be by Charli’s side along with her mother, Ava, as we all support her through this journey.

Last night, Charli was put on a ventilator and sedated as she awaits heart surgery. After surgery, Charli will be put back on ECMO, with no way of knowing how long this will be needed. Every moment is filled with worry and hope as we stay close to her, doing everything we can to help her heal. The costs of travel and living expenses are adding up quickly as we focus on being there for Charli and supporting each other through this crisis.

We are genuinely grateful for any support during this difficult time. Please pray for a successful surgery and recovery for Charli, keep her parents and family in your prayers, and pray for the surgeons and medical staff caring for Charli. She is in the best of care in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan. This is an incredibly hard time for all of us.
