It is with unimaginable heartbreak that we share the tragic loss of our beloved sweet boy Charlie. At just 11 years old, Charlie’s life was taken far too soon when a fun snow day turned into a tragic sledding accident. Our family is devastated, and our hearts are broken beyond words.
Charlie was a loving, funny, smart, and truly amazing child. His laugh and smile were infectious. Once you heard them, you never forgot them. He was adventurous, full of curiosity, and loved being outdoors. Charlie had a special passion for video games, streaming, animals, and dinosaurs, and could name them effortlessly off the top of his head. His love for them was so strong that he even had the incredible honor of naming a dinosaur that hatched at the Jurassic Park theme park at Disney, a memory that will forever remind us of his bright spirit and unique joy.
Even in his short 11 years, Charlie made a lasting impact on his world, his school, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was deeply loved, and his absence has left a void that can never be filled. We are reaching out during this incredibly difficult time to ask for support as our family faces unexpected funeral and memorial expenses. In addition, we are hoping to ease the financial burden on Charlie’s single mother, Courtney Miller, as she navigates the unimaginable loss of her son while continuing to care for and raise her other child while taking a step away from her career. Our goal is to give her the space and support she needs to grieve without the added stress of immediate financial hardship.
Any donation, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to donate, we ask that you please keep our family in your prayers and share this page to help us through this heartbreaking time. Thank you for your love, support, and compassion as we honor Charlie’s beautiful life and memory. He will forever be in our hearts.
Henry Funeral Home in Staunton is graciously taking care of the funeral at no expense to the family, which means all of your support will go directly to supporting the family through this challenging time.
