In November 2021, my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. True to form, he handled it with incredible strength and his trademark sense of humor — at one point saying he was just glad it wasn’t his “pun-creas,” because he’d hate to lose his ability to make jokes.
Thanks to early detection (something almost unheard of with pancreatic cancer), surgery, and months of chemotherapy, he made a remarkable recovery. The outpouring of love, generosity, and prayer from family, friends, and even strangers was nothing short of miraculous. Your support not only helped relieve the financial stress of treatment, but we truly believe it played a huge role in his healing.
This summer, we learned that while the cancer has not returned to his pancreas, it has spread to his lungs. The good news is we caught it early, and he has already begun a new round of chemotherapy. He’s been handling it with that same humor and grace, and continues to work when he can — it gives him purpose and keeps his spirit strong.
Still, treatment takes its toll. We’re starting another fund to help ease the financial burden.
The funds will go toward:
• Medical bills and treatment expenses
• Time off work for rest and recovery
• Nutritious, high-quality foods to support his health
• Alternative and complementary therapies such as acupuncture
Just as before, we deeply believe in the power of energy, prayer, and love. If you could take a moment to again beam some healing light to my dad, it will be deeply felt.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for being part of his journey,
With love and gratitude from our family.
