Support for Charlie Rumble’s family
Charlie Rumble’s battle with pancreatic cancer came to an end on January 23, 2019, less than a week after his 53rd birthday. He leaves behind his loving wife of 22 years, Sheila, and their 4 wonderful children-Drew (19), Grace (16), Claire (11), and Lucas (9).

The family is emotionally devastated and the last 9 months would not be wished on anyone. Charlie was the sole income provider while Sheila stayed home to raise their family. Sheila is now faced with raising and supporting her children without her partner.
In April of 2018, after a few weeks of not feeling “right”, Charlie ended up in the emergency room. Multiple tests later the doctors revealed he had pancreatic cancer. In true Rumble form, Charlie and Sheila would not let this news keep them down. They worked tirelessly to beat his cancer, working with doctors and support staff while also trying to keep their family life as normal as possible.

On January 19th he was admitted to the hospital under emergency circumstances, placed in ICU, then moved to hospice care.
As you can imagine, Charlie’s rapid decline and death have leveled his family.

In lieu of flowers, this campaign will be a gift to his children, support Sheila through this difficult time, and lessen the financial burden of medical bills.
The Rumbles have graciously given to others in need and Sheila volunteers many hours to children and families in her community. She never imagined being in this position.

Charlie was raised in Charleston, SC, a graduate of the Citadel, and served in the Army from 1987-1991 as a medic. He is the youngest of five siblings and he will be missed dearly.
Thank you for your ongoing prayers, support, and love.
