Support for Charlie Vincent Health Recovery

Donation protected
We are the friends of Charlie Vincent—a kind and loving, honest and loyal Christian man with a true servant’s heart. Charlie has been an active member of his church for many years. He has also nurtured and guided many young men through the scouting program. He is a true friend and would do anything to help someone before he would help himself—now we would like to help him by telling his story.

Just before Christmas 2023, Charlie had planned to leave Georgia with his family to visit his in-laws and older children in Tennessee for the holiday. When he arrived home, he wasn’t feeling well and thought he was coming down with something. He sent his wife and sons ahead while he opted to spend the night at home and leave early the next day. Upon waking, he felt much worse and realized that not only did he need help, but he was not able to drive himself. He called 9-1-1 and was transported by ambulance to a level two hospital in Marietta, Georgia. At the hospital, Charlie was soon diagnosed with Flu-B and pneumonia in both lungs. Charlie was intubated the Dec 26th and while that helped with his oxygen levels, there was still something else going on. Then came the unexpected twist—the illness had exacerbated a valve issue in his heart. While evaluating Charlie’s heart they found that not only had the valve completely failed, but that a major artery was 80% blocked as well. On Dec 29th, Charlie underwent surgery for valve replacement and bypass. Fortunately, he is no longer intubated, he is able to sit up for short periods of time, and his healing is heading in the right direction. Unfortunately, while we are all grateful for the good news of his health improving, Charlie’s illness has brought with it a host of different problems.

Charlie is self-employed and is the sole source of support for his wife and sons. Not only will he be faced with significant medical bills, but it will also be an indefinite amount of time before he is well enough to return to work. In the meantime, his family is left with limited funds to support the household while he recovers. Additionally, there are extensive repairs and updates required to the home before it will be considered functional and safe enough for Charlie to return to living there. Funds are also needed to house the family and their belongings while the repairs are made to the home.

First and foremost, we want to express our gratitude and we ask that you join us in prayer for Charlie and his family:

We pray for guidance and wisdom for the right decisions for the family as they navigate all the processes in play, we pray for continued healing for Charlie’s body and calm to ease his mind and worries over his family, we pray for peace and comfort for his wife and sons during the disruption to their homelife, and we pray for funds enough to cover all of the family’s needs. We ask this in Jesus name—Amen.

In closing, we ask you to please continue to keep Charlie in your prayers and we encourage you to make a donation today—every contribution matters no matter how large or small.
