Support for Chantelle Lindsay

Donation protected
Chantelle Lindsay was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that destroys the lungs and is eventually fatal, when she was 3 months old. She has been managing her symptoms all her life while staying active until 4 months ago when her lung function started rapidly declining. Chantelle was admitted to the QEII 5 weeks ago and has relied on high levels of oxygen since.

Chantelle and her family are hoping to receive a miracle drug called Trikafta, the drug was approved for use in the United States last year and can treat up to 90% of patients with the disease. The drug, however, costs $300 000 per year and has not yet been approved for use in Canada. The family applied for special access to the drug and are hopeful that with the funds they will be able to get the treatment before it’s too late.

The Lindsay family has been spending a lot of time in the hospital and travelling to Halifax from Truro, they have missed a lot of time from work. I’m hoping to help them out in any way I can and would appreciate anything you’re able to donate. This is an amazing family who’s always there to help their community, lets come together and help them in their time of need.
