Fighting Pancreatic Cancer: Supporting Chantell and Matthew Blaine <3

Hi Everyone,

Many of you know that my sister, Chantell Blaine, was hospitalized in Fort Nelson last year after experiencing discoloration, lower back pain, and extreme fatigue. Following extensive testing and numerous trips, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Since her diagnosis, Chantell has undergone rigorous chemotherapy treatments in Prince George, requiring extensive travel (11 hours each way) every two weeks.

This has placed a significant financial strain on her family, as her husband, Matt, has been the sole provider.

Despite these challenges, Chantell and Matt have faced this battle with unwavering strength and determination, demonstrating incredible love and support for each other.

We are truly grateful for the outpouring of love and support Chantell has received from our community.

Tomorrow, Chantell will undergo a major surgery – the Whipple procedure – to remove the remaining affected areas. This is a crucial step in her fight, but it will also require an extended recovery period.

Chantell has been unable to work for the past year, and the mounting medical expenses, travel costs, and general living expenses have become increasingly challenging.
