Support for Cesar Perez and his children as he recovers

On June 26th, our beloved Cesar Perez suffered a massive heart attack that changed his and his family's lives in an instant. While we are beyond grateful that he is still with us, Cesar now faces a long road to recovery-and is unable to work during this time.

Anyone who knows Cesar knows that his heart is always full of love, generosity, and pride for his family, especially his kids, Owen and Olivia. Whether it's been as a dependable co-worker, a loyal friend, a volunteer firefighter in Half Moon Bay, or a dedicated father cheering from the sidelines, Cesar has always shown up for others. Now, we are asking our community to show up for him.

How Your Support Helps:

*Living Expenses: With Cesar unable to work, funds will help cover rent, utilities and everyday necessities while he focuses on recovery.

*Olivia's College: Olivia will begin her Junior year at the University of California, Irvine. She is majoring in criminology, law and society, and social ecology with the intention of becoming an immigration lawyer so she can help people just like Cesar. We are lucky to have scholarships to help with tuition but she will need help with housing costs to continue her education.

*Owen's Travel Basketball: Despite the challenges, Cesar's biggest wish is for Owen to continue playing in his travel basketball league this summer. Owen's passion and talent are undeniable and continuing with the league provides a sense of joy and normalcy during this uncertain time. This next month is key, as it's the period when college coaches will be recruiting.

No contribution is too small. Every dollar, every share, and every kind message helps lift some of the burden and reminds Cesar that he is not alone in this fight. Even if you aren't able to contribute financially, please post a message and we will share it with him.
