In March, our lives changed when my wife Celia was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. The news was unexpected and has brought a wave of uncertainty as we prepare for this journey. Celia has started chemotherapy and radiation treatment, which will be ongoing for at least a year. While we are grateful to have insurance to help with some of the costs, we know there will be many expenses that go beyond what insurance can cover.
We are facing a range of challenges, from medical bills and co-pays to the hidden costs that come with a cancer diagnosis. These include gaps in insurance, mental health support, nutrition needs, and the high price of newer cancer medications. There are also travel and lodging expenses for treatments that may not be available locally, as well as the likely loss of income from work during this time.
We are reaching out to our friends, family, and community for support during this difficult time. More than anything, we want to praise the Lord in this process and ask for your prayers. Any financial support you can provide will help lighten the burden and allow us to focus on Celia’s treatment and well-being. Thank you for standing with us and for your kindness and generosity.
God is good.
