My dad, Cecil Fairless, has been driving a semi-truck for as long as I can remember. He’s always been a hard worker, providing for our family and taking pride in his job. Recently, Cecil was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He’s currently in the hospital recovering from his first surgery, facing a long road ahead as he fights this illness.

As if that wasn’t enough, while he was in the hospital, we found out that his truck—a source of both his livelihood and his independence—suffered a major breakdown. The engine spun a bearing, leaving him unable to work even if he were healthy enough to do so. This has added a huge financial strain on top of the medical bills and everyday expenses that don’t stop just because life gets hard.

We’re asking for help to cover Cecil’s bills while he recovers, and if we’re able, to put a good used motor in his truck so he can get back to the work he loves when he’s feeling better.
