Support for cat due to panlukeopenia.
Donation protected
I was in the process of working with a cat rescue, taking care of kittens until they were ready for adoption. The rescue dropped off another litter and said that one seemed sick. This kitten was not just sick; it was in the process of passing away. She passed away overnight, and the rest of them seemed fine. Two days later, another one was sick. We treated for worms, and the kitten seemed okay for one more day. The next day, the kitten was very lethargic. I advised the rescue and took him to see a veterinarian. He was diagnosed with panleukopenia. This kitten was at the vet's for a few days, and its sibling was treated at home. I kept these kittens separated from my cats.
Unfortunately, this sickness spread to two of my cats, even though they all were vaccinated. I took the one cat who was showing symptoms to the veterinarian, and he said that he had a “hairball” that was making him sick. I took him home and treated him. Late the next day, I had a second cat that was also showing symptoms. She passed away overnight. Needless to say, I needed emergency veterinary treatment for my cat. The bill was almost $5,000.
I am in need of help paying this bill.
If anyone could please donate, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you.
