Hi, I am Ly, I live on Vancouver island, B.C in Victoria and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my beloved pet/dog Cassius. Recently on June 9th Cassius had a slip and tumbled. She started limping and I had to rush her to the emergency Vet, she ended up with a fractured bone in her back leg. She can no longer walk normally and is not able to leave her crate anymore. Her fracture was right above her knee which means a cast or splint is not an option. Our Vet said for this type of fracture the best course of action is surgery. Our Vet provided us with a surgeon option which is extremely outside of what is affordable for me as a young up-coming 20yr old with rent and bills, and in this economy quite frankly. The recommendation is to have her in for surgery within 1-2weeks of her injury, and there is no way I am able to come up with thousands for her in addition to having to travel 3hrs up island for this procedure. Cassius is a young and energetic 3.5yr old shih-tzu cross who I got as a puppy when I was 16. Cassius is my emotional support animal as she was a gift/form of therapy for me when I had lost someone very important in my life, Cassius has provided me love and comfort and she is basically like my child and I would do anything to help give her the best life possible. She loves going to the beach in the summer and rolling in the grass at the park, it breaks my heart she wont be able to do anything of that sort for 2-3months which is her entire summer, she is stuck inside on bed rest as doctors orders. If you, or anyone you know understands and or is willing/able to help, I truly anything you have to give, as little as a dollar gets me closer to my goal and Im grateful to anyone who has the ability to help a stranger or friend in need.
