I went into the hospital on March 4th thinking I had a stomach virus, but on March 10th I was diagnosed with cancer—a fear I never thought I’d have to face. As a single mother, I’m doing my best to care for my daughter while going through this incredibly tough journey. I’ve just finished my second week of chemo, and while it’s been hell, I’m pushing through with the Lord by my side.
Finances have become incredibly hard. My doctors recommended I quit working, so now I have no income coming in other than food stamps, which doesn’t go very far. I have to pay for a hotel to stay near my treatment center, since I’m not only getting chemo but also a trial treatment to fight this rare, stage four cancer. I have three masses, and the costs are overwhelming—hotel fees, doctor visits, medication, and still making sure my bills are paid so my daughter and I have a place to call home.
I’m asking for help, even if it’s just a dollar. Every bit goes a long way. Your support will help me cover these expenses and focus on getting better for my daughter. Thank you for supporting me and my family as I fight to beat cancer. Your kindness means the world to us. God bless you all.
