Hi friends ❤️
I never thought I’d be making a post like this, but I wanted to share what happened this week with my husky, Casper.
On the evening of February 26th, Casper and I were walking home near Central Avenue after our usual dinner outing when he slipped out of his collar and ran into the street. Several cars stopped, but one driver did not slow down and struck him. It was one of the scariest moments of my life.
I rushed him straight to the emergency vet where he underwent exams, X-rays, bloodwork, and received pain treatment. By some miracle, Casper is okay and expected to make a full recovery. I am incredibly grateful — truly.
The emergency visit totaled about $1,300, which I had to put on credit cards in the moment to make sure he received immediate care. While I would make that same decision again without hesitation, the unexpected cost has created some financial strain.
If you know Casper, you know he is the sweetest, gentlest soul and a huge part of my little family. Any support — whether donating or simply sharing — means more than I can express.
Thank you for loving him with me and for all the kindness and messages we’ve already received.
