Support for Carrothers Family

Support needed for local family dealing with mental health medical emergency and trauma

These past few days have proven very difficult and traumatic for the Carrothers family. Kim, Karilee and Ashley are in need of our support and prayers for their husband / father Dave Carrothers. Too many are struggling mentally and physically and it is now hitting close to home and affecting a family in our community. Dave is currently in critical condition at St. Mike's Hospital in Toronto and is fighting for his life.

Over the past years Dave has struggled with physical disability forcing him to leave work and leaving Kim as the sole financial provider. This put a great amount of pressure on the entire family and severely affected his mental health. Things began to build up and became more and more overwhelming. The load became too heavy and difficult to carry.

Many of you know Dave through his volunteer work with community hockey ‘Coach Dave’ and his endless support of his daughters. Dave has personally supported my family when we faced cancer, with drives to and from hockey. We are forever grateful. He is a straight forward and kind soul. Dave has also been a long time and active member of the Lisle Legion contributing support whenever possible.

Kim, Karilee and Ashley continue to pray for Dave and his recovery. It will be a very long and difficult journey physically, emotionally and financially. Kim will require time off to support Dave and the girls as they attempt to recover. The funds raised will go towards supporting the family during this difficult time.

The family is proud, however needs some assistance and support from their friends and community.

We would like to ask for your help in their time of need. Whatever you can give is greatly appreciated.
