Chris peacefully passed away at home this morning with his family by his side.

The first financial burden is upon us.... Hospice took Chris to the crematorium.

Caroline got a call stating she needs payment of $2900.00 tomorrow.

This is NOT possible..... there literally are no funds available. They did say she absolutely MUST have that payment in FULL on Friday when she goes to pick up the cremains....

My name is Sheryl, and I am Chris's sister. I am reaching out on behalf of Caroline and Amanda Sommer, Chris's wife and daughter, who are facing an unimaginable loss. Last Thursday, Chris was released from the hospital into the care of Hospice, and he is not expected to make it until next week. This heartbreaking situation has come upon us suddenly, leaving Caroline and Amanda with no time to prepare emotionally or financially.

Since 2019, Caroline and Amanda have been Chris's sole caretakers after he became an amputee. Their only income has come from Chris's Veteran benefits and the state paying them for his care. With Chris's passing, not only will they be grieving the loss of a beloved husband and father, but they will also lose all of their income. There are no life insurance policies or savings to help them through this difficult time.

I am asking for help to cover Chris's cremation costs and to support Caroline and Amanda as they navigate the next few months. They will need to find a new place to live and face many challenges ahead. If you are able, please consider donating to help ease some of the burdens they are about to face.
