Support for Carol in Memory of John

Our dear friend Carol has had an incredibly difficult few years. She lost her beloved daughter Lisa just four years ago, and a dear sister three years ago. Previously, she had lost her other sister and her brother. Last week, her husband John, her partner of 50 years, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.

John and Carol have long been part of the community here in Spain, where they have touched many lives. John was a quiet, thoughtful man, who was always supportive, from helping Carol with her music gigs to assisting with local charity events. In recent months he was working on building a peaceful garden for Carol to enjoy, a summerhouse and planting area they had dreamed of together.

With John’s sudden passing, Carol now faces many immediate challenges on her own. As well as the emotional shock and grief, there are practical costs that she must cover, including funeral expenses (around €3,000) and some unfinished work on their home that John had begun so carefully.

We want to help Carol through this very hard time. We know that John would have wanted to see her supported by friends and the community he cared about. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go towards covering the funeral costs and helping Carol move forward as she begins to rebuild life on her own.
