Support for Carol and Bob McCabe

As you may know, in early November, our friend Bob McCabe suffered an aortic dissection.
As Bob retold the story to us, he went down to the kitchen to have a glass of iced tea, went to plug in his phone charger...the next thing he remembers was waking up in the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. He had undergone a six (6) hour operation to repair the aortic dissection and lay in an induced coma for a few days.
That Bob survived this emergency is a miracle. However, the dissection affected the blood flow to the spinal column. At this moment, Bob is paralyzed from the waist down.
The love and emotional strength that both Bob and Carol have shown , as well as the care from the hospital and Magee Rehab, has helped them to get through these first few months. Bob is returning home this week.
One can never really appreciate the financial impact that this is having. They have already purchased a "wheelchair accessible" van, have had ramps built for access into their home and are in the process of retrofitting their home to support Bob's needs, as Carol is now his primary caregiver.
They are the most loving and generous of heart people we know, always there for their family and friends.
Now we would like to help them as they transition to this new reality.
I'd like to ask for your financial support towards our goal.
To Carol and Bob's work friends, please share this in support of these wonderful people.
Thank you for your support and prayers.
