Hello, my name is Naomi, the oldest daughter to Carmen. I appreciate you taking the time to read the story of my mama. My dad (Tony), brother (Jonathan), sister (Brittney) and I have lost the HEART BEAT of our family, a wife and mother Carmen.

To know Carmen is to love her. There is not one person she ran into that did not instantly become her friend. Her personality is what we all knew and what we'll all remember her for. She would light up any room as if God placed a spotlight on her always. She made you feel safe, which would allow you to open up to her with absolutely no judgement. Her laughter was so infectious and memorable. Her smile was inviting and warm.

Carmen married the love of her life Tony at the age of 20. For 45 years they shared their lives togther. Their love endoured it all. She loved her husband with all her heart. From that love, God gave them three children: Jonathan, Naomi and Brittney. Each child would tell you how much their mom was their safe place and the light of their lives. She was the one that kept the family together. The living heartbeat of our family. The love she showed each one of them came straight from God.

She had seven grandchildren in which she adored each one. Oh, how they adored her in return! Each grandchild had their own special bond with her. All so different, yet all so special. She had one big brother and one little sister. She had two son in-laws and one daughter in-law and treated them all as if they were her children. She also made a couple of her neighbors honorary grandchildern. Her family was her everything. Not a day went by that she didn't remind them of her love. Whether it be in words, hugs or gifts, she knew just what you needed at the right time to ensure that you knew she loved you.

On Monday, July 24, 2024, the Lord took her home to be with Him to set up a place for her family in Heaven. For those left here on earth, it was way too sudden and way too early.
