Our family is heartbroken to share the tragic loss of our beloved brother Carmelo Medina.

On Sunday, Carmelo went missing while battling Alzheimer’s, a condition that often left him confused and disoriented. In the early hours of Monday around 1:30 a.m., he unknowingly entered the wrong home. Tragically, he was shot and lost his life.

Carmelo was not a threat—he was a loving man struggling with a serious illness who needed help and understanding. His passing has left our family devastated and searching for peace during this incredibly painful time.

He was deeply loved and will always be remembered for who he was to us—family, comfort, and someone who meant so much in our lives.
