It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we honor the life and legacy of Carlos A. Loya Jr. — a loving husband, devoted father, loyal friend, and respected member of his community.

Above all else, Carlos was a family man and a proud “girl dad.” His greatest joy in life was his wife, Karina, and their two daughters, Klarissa and Kasandra, who were the center of his world. He was a devoted husband to Karina, a loving and proud father, and a steady source of strength, laughter, and unconditional love for his family. He cherished every moment spent with his girls—whether offering guidance, sharing laughs, or simply being present. To his family, he was not only a protector, but their foundation.

Carlos was the kind of person people could always count on—selfless, dependable, and full of heart. Known for his constant smile, kind spirit, and genuine compassion, he touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

In addition to being an incredible husband and father, Carlos proudly served as a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer for 17 years with honor, professionalism, and courage. He was deeply committed to serving his country and community, carrying himself with integrity, dedication, and kindness in every aspect of his life. He was not only an exceptional officer, but also a valued colleague and friend whose impact will never be forgotten.

Carlos’s passing has left an unimaginable void in the lives of those who loved him. As his family navigates this heartbreaking loss, we are raising funds to support Karina, Klarissa, and Kasandra during this difficult time.
