Support for Carlee, Ricky and baby Oaklynn

Donation protected
On October 8, 2020, Carlee and Ricky Seeley’s lives were blessed with an extra dose of love when their beautiful daughter Oaklynn Grace was born. Little Oaks’ birth was a miracle.

When Carlee was thirteen weeks pregnant, she began bleeding and was told something was wrong. The next seven weeks were filled with countless ER trips and endless miscarriage scares. However, each trip showed Oaklynn’s strong heartbeat, constantly proving to the doctors that she was a fighter.

At twenty-one weeks pregnant, Carlee was told a baby wouldn’t survive if born before week twenty-five, and after suffering massive blood clots, “Inevitable Miscarriage” was written in her chart. Oaklynn continued fighting, and Carlee managed to make it to week twenty-five, where little Oaks was born at 12:22 am by an emergency C-Section. She weighed only 1 pound, 5 ounces and was a tiny 11.5 inches long.

Her fight was just beginning. Ricky and Carlee struggled to be present for their three other children while also staying by her side, waiting for the days they could hold her. They watched Oaklynn reach milestones they thought she’d never get to, but also watched her face death on a daily basis.

Sweet Oaklynn continued to grow and fight, but her perfect little soul was too pure for this world. On January 11th, when she was just three months old, she returned to God, who, no doubt, scooped her up in a loving embrace. She was freed from the oxygen ventilator and freed from all the pain and discomfort on this earth. Her mommy, daddy, two sisters, and brother gave her nothing but love during her short time here. She was given enough kisses, hugs, and cuddles to last a lifetime.

Carlee and Ricky had to leave the hospital without their baby. They had to prepare a funeral for their baby. I have struggled and struggled to find the right words to say, but nothing felt like it was ever enough. They lost their baby.

If anyone has anything to spare, right now at this time, they need this. They need to grieve, not worry about a very large hospital bill and the cost of a funeral. Please, please if you have the ability to help them financially, I don’t want them to worry about this on top of trying to continue on in life after the worst thing has happened to them.

Because they were so welcomed by the NICU at Renown, they want to extend any financial donation to their new family of NICU staff with anything extra. These wonderful soldiers fought each day and night to keep their baby alive, comfortable, and loved when Ricky and Carlee could not be around.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this. I appreciate anything that anyone can do for them.
