Sweet baby Carina, only 6 months old, has spent a great deal of time in the hospital over the last month. She was admitted after 5 days of high fevers and a seizure initially on November 18th and discharged with hopeful improvement on the 28th. She was home for just 5 days before she was readmitted with fevers yet again and she remains in the hospital at this time.  Teams of Doctors and Specialists are working day after day to try to get to the root of the cause, with very few answers yet. She has had endless blood work, along with MRI's, ultrasounds and CT's to try to get answers.  Her mother Noel has spent every day at the hospital with her, waiting on answers, while her father Tiago continues to work to take care of their famiy, being the only source of income for their family during this holiday season.  Noel has had to be off work unpaid for almost a month now, and at this time, no one is sure how long this will last or when they will have more answers.  

It's no doubt that this loving family will incur huge hospital bills, which is overwhelming for anyone, but especially with only one income and during the holiday season. Everyone who has met Carina falls in love with her. They are doing everything they can to get this sweet girl healthy again as any parent would do. If you feel so inclined, they could use donations of any amount to try to help with hospital and other bills. As all parents know, they will do whatever is necessary to take care of sweet Carina and that may mean Noel not going back to work for a bit. Please keep praying for this family as they await answers and results from critical tests done this week to hopefully help guide Carina's care.
