Support for Carers in Kirklees

Are you wondering what you can do to support your local community through coronavirus?

We are a group of highly trained emotional health/wellbeing practitioners who are supporting carers in Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield through these challenging times. We can give them a supportive, safe, and confidential online space to offload, have a conversation and be offered a mental health toolkit to help them manage thoughts, anxiety, stress and relationships.

Our aim is to support carers of all sorts: those looking after people at home, those working for the council or in care homes and those out in the community doing frontline work during the lockdown.

We will give expert and easy to access support at the time that they need it on a pay-as-you-feel/can basis.

Although we now have some funding from the National lottery and Kirklees Council, more funding would mean that we could help more people.  We have to cover costs of team support, insurance and admin as well as payment to our practitioners.

You can help us by:

*Donating.  As a guide, an hour session costs us £50 to deliver. However any donation, however small, will be welcome.

*Liking this post and sharing it via social media.

*Letting people know that this is a legitimate and trusted not-for-profit organisation registered at Companies House: ABSOLUTE SPECIALISTS WELLBEING.  Company number 11334593.

Thank you!
