Our fellow #TeamSBCERA staff member, Cara Larsen, recently lost her mother, Lisa, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, following a brief but courageous health battle. She was surrounded by loved ones as she peacefully gained her angel wings.

At the time Lisa became ill, she was visiting Cara’s sister in Colorado and was hospitalized shortly thereafter. After speaking with the medical team, Cara immediately booked an emergency flight to be by her mother’s side and was able to spend her final moments with her.

Cara and her sister are now navigating the difficult process of making funeral arrangements while grieving this tremendous loss. While words can never fully ease the pain of losing a parent, helping to lessen the financial burden that often accompanies such a loss can provide some measure of relief during an incredibly difficult time.

To support Cara and her family, we have established this fund to help ease some of those expenses and show them that the SBCERA family is thinking of them and standing beside them.
