Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well and being safe. I do miss you all and I have not been able to celebrate birthdays and huge milestone accomplishments for our recent college graduates. Congratulations and I am so proud of you!!!

I have been struggling the past 6 months with on and off life occurrences while juggling with a full time school work load. It is not easy to be a full time student, let alone being in graduate school. I do not expect you to know what that means as we all have had different experiences of being a student. In my case, being in a medical program to become a Chiropractic Doctor has not been the easiest and has taken a majority of my time and energy. The spiritual, mental, emotional and physical aspects have taken a huge toll on me.

It is as though I can not catch a break from on going issues that have occurred the past 6 months. Early in the year towards the end of my Spring School Term, as I was driving, the transmission on the BMW failed on me just before a final practical exam. Even though I kept up on the maintenance, the transmission was done for and to repair it would be more than the price of the vehicle itself. As a result, I had to donate the car. I have had to ask many people for rides to and from school, paid for expensive Uber/Lyft transportation and became dependent on others to get me to school. Once that semester ended, I was allowed to use the Sequoia until I graduated.

One day, my girlfriend and I took her Prius to her appointments as she could not drive due to a recent eye surgery. We were just 5 minutes from being back home, when we were hit. A Mercedes G-Wagon was stolen and in hot-pursuit, ran a red light and hit myself and my girlfriend on the passenger side at an intersection. We were both rushed to the ER with medical emergency personnel, had tests done and images taken. Fortunately, nothing was broken and we were intact. Due to the accident, we are now both dealing with chronic body pain and a concussion. I have been waking up with severe pain every single day for over a month now. Insurance has not provided coverage towards us.

Additionally, on my way to take her to work today, since her car was totaled in the accident, I came to find that someone has stolen the catalytic convertor for the Sequoia. I do not have the funds to purchase parts, a different vehicle or lease a car. The price to replace the parts is well over the price of the Sequoia.
