Captain Jeff Danton, a respected member of the Winnipeg Fire Department, is facing a serious health challenge. After months away from operations related to the progression of injuries sustained in a house fire earlier in his career, doctors have recommended a procedure that is not available anywhere in North America. Jeff and his wife Lisa have found a clinic in Germany that can provide the surgery he needs, scheduled for early October. At this time the prognosis after the surgery is optimistic but is not fully known. The doctors have told them that this surgery is the highest likelihood of Jeff returning to full health.

The financial burden of surgery, travel, and rehabilitation is significant. To help offset these costs, we are coming together as a firefighting community, friends, and supporters to raise $50,000.
