Our dear friend Candice and her husband Ray have been walking a heartbreaking and incredibly brave road this year. Ray was diagnosed with melanoma, and in May the cancer spread to his brain and adrenal gland. Since then, he has endured multiple hospitalizations, seizures caused by brain tumors, and countless treatments and challenges. Through it all, he has faced each day with incredible strength, courage, and love for his family.

Ray’s fight has been nothing short of inspiring. Even in the hardest moments, he has continued to show the heart of a husband, father, and friend who never gives up. He has been surrounded by love—especially from Candice, who has stood by his side every step of the way. Sadly, the prognosis is not good, and Ray is currently in the hospital with his loved ones by his side as they face the hardest days yet.

Candice is one of the kindest, most giving people you’ll ever meet. She’s the type of friend who shows up without being asked, who cares deeply, and who brings comfort and light wherever she goes. She and Ray have raised five incredible children, each of whom carries their parents’ compassion, humor, and strength. This family has touched so many lives, and now it’s our turn to help lift them up in return.

We are asking for help to ease the heavy financial burden they are facing—funeral expenses, medical bills, and the many costs that come with such a difficult journey. No family should have to worry about finances while saying goodbye to someone they love so deeply.
