A couple months ago, I went in for stomach pain, not expecting anything serious. After some tests, doctors found two 3mm tumors in my stomach, and the diagnosis came back as Stage 2 stomach cancer. I had surgery to remove the tumors which was successful and am now on oral chemotherapy. The treatment has been tough—fatigue, nausea, cramping, skin sensitivity, and just feeling emotionally and physically drained have made it really hard to keep up with work and daily life.

I’m a flight attendant, and while I’ve been cleared to work, the side effects make it nearly impossible to do my job safely. I usually fly 170-200 hours a month (about 7-8 trips), but now I’m down to maybe two trips a month—just enough to keep my insurance and benefits. Even though I’ve met my deductible, the out-of-pocket costs are still high, and my reduced hours mean I’m struggling to cover basic expenses.

I’m not someone who usually asks for help, but sometimes you just need to suck up your pride and ask. My main focus is to work on my health and beat this with a positive outlook. Any support you can give—no matter how small—means the world to me as I fight to get back on my feet. Thank you so much for reading and for any help you can offer.
