I have always tried to get by on my own, but the past few months have been the hardest of my life. As someone with a low income, I never had much in savings, but I managed to make ends meet. Everything changed three months ago when I was diagnosed with cancer. The mass was so large that I needed surgery right away, and since then, I’ve been unable to work. My savings quickly disappeared, and I’m still not cleared to return to my job.
Now, I’m facing a mountain of unpaid medical bills, with more hospital visits and doctor appointments ahead. On top of that, I have to worry about rent, insurance, my phone bill, food for myself and my dog, and medication. Every day feels overwhelming, and I’m running out of options. I never imagined I’d be in a position where I’d have to ask for help, but I truly have nowhere else to turn.
If you’re able to support me during this difficult time, it would mean the world. Your kindness will help me cover the basics—rent, food, and daily essentials—while I focus on healing and hopefully getting back to work soon. Thank you for reading my story and for any help you can give.
