Hello everyone!
It is with the most heavy of hearts that I am starting this gofundme. On 6/19/2026 my fiancés family lost their uncle, Camille Cormier, after battling through stage 4 prostate cancer for 6 years, among many other health issues. He was 80, just a month shy of his 81st.
For the last 6 years, he was cared for by his niece/goddaughter, Nina, who always made sure he had everything he needed. Nina devoted all of her time and energy into taking care of him without ever complaining. The bond they shared is something that will never be broken by anyone, even in death.
Camille came to the United States 60 years ago from Canada. Despite being born deaf and facing all the challenges that came with it, Camille made his life the way he wanted it to be. He worked doing auto body repairs for many years. He loved sports, cars, movies (especially The Titanic and Ratatouille), ice cream sandwiches, mini Hershey’s chocolate, and most importantly the family who truly loved and cared for him back.
Camille may have been deaf but he was the epitome of if someone wants to achieve something, they will, regardless of how society and even family treat disabilities.
Camille will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and made the effort to love and cherish him.
Any donations will be going straight to funeral home expenses, car payments, and any future memorial celebrations for him.
Thank you!
Sarah L.
